Within the framework of consistent reforms aimed at environmental protection, raising ecological awareness, and educating the younger generation in a spirit of care for nature, an important educational event was held in Zomin district. A promotional campaign and a roundtable discussion were organized as part of a traveling photo and fine arts exhibition held under the slogan “Protecting Nature Means Protecting People and the Motherland,” attracting wide public attention.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the screening of meaningful video materials dedicated to environmental protection. This further strengthened the participants’ sense of responsibility toward nature and patriotism.
The first speaker was Olima Tovboyeva, a specialist in the development of ecotourism at the Zomin National Nature Park. In her presentation, she provided detailed information about the park’s unique natural landscapes, rich flora and fauna, protected species, and the importance of preserving them.
She also highlighted ongoing environmental protection efforts within the park, the role of ecotourism in conserving nature, and improving public ecological culture. An active question-and-answer session was held, during which students received comprehensive answers to their questions.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of the “Tasviriy Oyna” Creative Association of Uzbekistan Asomiddin Mardiyev, Head of its Jizzakh regional branch Oybek Begimqulov, Chairman of the Zomin District Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and district council deputy Yorbek Safarov, specialist of the Zomin district department of the Ecology and Climate Change Authority Doston Pattayev, Zomin district administration project manager Javlon Primqulov, and media representatives.
During the event, participants exchanged views on environmental protection, reducing the consequences of climate change, developing ecological tourism, and fostering love for nature among youth. Special emphasis was placed on promoting the beauty of nature through fine arts and photography.
Students and youth from Secondary School No. 60 of Zomin district actively participated in the event. The event was moderated by Yorbek Safarov, who emphasized that protecting nature is the sacred duty of every citizen.
Undoubtedly, such educational initiatives play an important role in enhancing ecological culture in society, educating youth in responsibility toward nature, and promoting sustainable development ideas.
