About Zomin District

Zomin District is one of the most beautiful and naturally rich regions of the Jizzakh region in Uzbekistan. Established in 1926, it is located in the southeastern part of the region, at the foothills of the Turkestan mountain range. Zomin is famous for its scenic mountain landscapes, mild climate, and fresh air.

The district is home to the Zomin National Park, the Zomin Sanatorium, and several historical and cultural landmarks. Its economy is mainly based on agriculture — fruit growing, livestock breeding, and beekeeping. In recent years, eco-tourism and recreational infrastructure have been rapidly developing.

The residents of Zomin are known for their hospitality, hard work, and deep respect for nature. With its natural beauty and healthy environment, Zomin is often referred to as the “mountain pearl of Uzbekistan.”
